Stephen was called to be the Senior Pastor of True Direction Church in 2021. He has previously served as the Associate Pastor and the Music and Youth Minister since 2002. He works alongside our Elders to implement our mission of leading lives in the “True Direction of Jesus Christ.” Stephen approaches ministry with a unique blend of passion for Jesus, a love for the Word, and a desire to see God glorified and lives changed.

Stephen is a native of South Carolina and grew up in Ninety Six, A town in Greenwood County. He attended the University of South Carolina, where he received a B.A. in Religious Studies and a Minor in Music Education.

Stephen married his wife, Sarah, in 2005, and they have three children. Before serving at True Direction Church, Stephen served at Columbia Road Church of God in Orangeburg, South Carolina, as their Music Minister for one year until God called him to Gaffney, South Carolina.
